Non-Profit Packers Valued at 1.02 Billion

The Green Bay Packers according to Forbes magazine this year are valued at 1.02 billion dollars which place them 16th in the NFL. Sixteenth place seems pretty good for the Packers as they are a non-profit in the smallest market in the NFL. The value of the Packers is helped by there 295 million refurbishing of Lambeau Field in 2003, and number of sponsorships that they can bring in with there national fan base. It will be interesting to see if the Packers take a hit in value on next years list as Brett Favre has moved on possibly hurting marketability. The Dallas Cowboys were first on Forbes list with a value of $1.612 billion.
