Packers Cut KGB - (Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila)

The Packers cut KGB (Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila) in an unexpected room to make room on the active roster for last years first round pick Justin Harrell. KGB is the Packers all time sacks leader with 74.5 passing the late Reggie White last season. KGB lost his starting job late in the 2006 season to Cullen Jenkins. Jenkins is out this season with a torn pectoral muscle, so KGB drop in stature with team is dramatic. KGB also was the Packers highest payed player at $7.727 million which due to his tenure with the team was guaranteed. In his prime with the Packers KGB was a dangerous speed rusher, however he has lost that speed due to tendenitis developed in his knee after injuries to it. Packers general manager Ted Thompson in his press conference thanked KGB for his time with the team on the field and in the community. KGB spent nine NFL seasons with the Packers and while not sure what his football future holds said he was blessed for his time with the Packers.
