Packers 2011 Free Agency Losers?

The Green Bay Packers have done little during the 2011 free agency period so far other than let some very nice players find new homes. Granted the Packer have now resigned Kuhn, Crosby and Jones however loosing a player like Jenkins who is the type of player Super Bowl caliber teams have hurts and so does showing Tauscher and Barnett the door. I will agree that Jenkins was a hard decision for the Packers he has had injuries and his brother is out of the league far to early due to injuries but Jenkins was a winner and he just improved the Eagles a team that I now feel the Packers just might be chasing for their quest to repeat as Super Bowl Champions.

Teams like the Eagles and Patriots who build through the draft like the Packers have still taken calculated risks this off-season to bolster their rosters to get to this years Super Bowl, the question is couldn't the Packers use to take a calculated risk as well. I mean come on going up for Matthews was a calculated risk that paid off, signing Woodson at the time was probably equivalent as a risk to signing Jenkins this season. If the Packers can sign one of the veterans out there that is a plus add for the right money they should do it,they are in a unique position for GB they might have a great vet trip over the chance to play in northern WI.

Final thought is a shout out to Tauscher, you are the example of all that is right about the love of football in this great state. We look forward to hearing again from you soon in some capacity.
